Firstly let’s start by asking the question “What is success?”. If you measure success by how wealthy you are, by the car you drive or the size of your mansion then you may be missing the point.

“Money has never made man happy, nor will it, there is nothing in its nature to produce happiness. The more of it one has the more one wants.” – Benjamin Franklin

This said the question still remains… “What is success?”

The definition of success according to the Dictionary is “the accomplishment of an aim or purpose” and this couldn’t be more true.

Now if your aim is to be Wealthy? I take no issue for as long as you set Milestones, Aims and find your Purpose to forefill your own perception of Success.

“Success means doing the best we can with what we have. Success is the doing, not the getting; in the trying, not the triumph. Success is a personal standard, reaching for the highest that is in us, becoming all that we can be.” -Zig Ziglar

To summarise Success is defined and achieved by oneself. Personally, I measure my success by the amount of Value I can add to the world, How hard I can work at achieving my goals regardless of Failures and to Love and Care for those around me in the most effective way.

How do we Plan for Success?

It is important that we begin to plan. I can’t tell you where specifically to start but I can advise that you focus on these main Elements. Direction, Motivation, Health and Wealth. I personally will be focusing on my Direction; this includes Habits and Mindfulness as well as my Learning.

I highly recommend taking our Free 7 Day Essentials Course Here to learn about these four main Elements in addition to the Framework that Bolder Growth uses to accelerate the rate of Growth and Personal Development in any individual.

success go get it chalkboard

A common place to start at the beginning of the year is one’s Health. Many individuals sign up for Gyms and make a self-promise to get into ‘Shape’. Let’s be honest around three months later many people never visit the Gym again and are unsuccessful; this is because of Habit.

The idea is to slowly build up the habit over-time and train our minds and body. That takes us to the next Statement. “Always have a plan B!” When you start your new year make a Plan of all the things you want to accomplish, the truth is you may fail and this is completely fine. Have a fall-back plan, pick yourself up and move on.

“If you don’t know where you are going, you’ll end up someplace else”- Yogi Berra

In summary! Plan, set Expectations and don’t be afraid of Failure. Make sure you have a clear sense of Direction. Follow our framework and attempt to balance each Element. When this is accomplished you will thrive. Each element causes the other to excel! You need to hold yourself accountable as you and only you can drive change in your life and successes.

How do we stay on Track?

Staying on track is Key. You will fail many times and this is totally fine. Revise your plan monthly and make changes if needed. The idea is to be mindful! You need to hold yourself accountable. This can be challenging as the everyday grind can pull you down and cause you to lose focus.

This is where having a Life Coach is Key. Trust in your coach and allow them to keep you centered. Bolder Growth offers free 45 minute Consultations that can be done online or in person; go Here for more information.

Keeping a journal can help. The idea is to stay on top of your progress regardless of weather your accomplishments have been achieved yet.
